Mountain Oak School has an elected Board of Directors that is responsible for the fiscal and legal oversight of the school. There are seven seats on the board. The MOS Board is governed by a set of by-laws that describe how the board will operate.

Stories to educate

Board meetings are held at 3:45 p.m. on the second Wednesday of every month at 1455 Willow Creek Road in the Great Hall 7/8 grade classroom. The Board agenda is posted at least 24 hours before the meeting on the website and on the bulletin board  in the lower playground at 1455 Willow Creek Road. The date and time of any special session is also posted outside the office. Minutes are available in a binder in the office and on the website. All meetings are public. Everyone is welcome to come, and we are glad to have you. Because we spend public money, we are governed by what is known as “Open Meeting Law.” If you have questions regarding “Open Meeting Law” or other comments or concerns regarding board business contact a Board Member. Please refer to the “Line of Communication” in the student handbook to make certain your communication is handled effectively. Please contact the Board President if you are interested in serving on the board, and please come to meetings!

Student Photography & Image Protection

At Mountain Oak Community School, your child’s safety and privacy are of the highest importance.

We want to inform our families that we have officially severed ties with Lifetouch Photography and any affiliated companies. Additionally, we are taking formal legal steps, including issuing a demand letter, to require the removal of all student photo media from Lifetouch’s archives.

We are committed to ensuring that student images are handled responsibly and in alignment with our standards for privacy and security.
