Alma Zamora
Spanish and Physical Education Teacher

Alma Zamora

I am Chef Alma Zamora, I have more than 22 years of culinary experience and academic credentials , including a bachelor’s degree in Gastronomy with coursework in ethnology, mixology, psychology, English and more. Having served as the school chef at MOS for the past year,I am now excited to embark in a new journey teaching Spanish. I firmly believe that lear a second language is a transformative opportunity for our children, and I am committed to making it an engaging and interactive experience. Building on my own experience learning f English, I recognize the importance of daily practice in language acquisition. To support this, your children will receive homework assignments that reinforce our in class lessons. I encourage you to review and sign their homework , which will also provide valuable insights into their progress. Our first few weeks have been with lessons, from introducing ourselves and asking for permission to exploring the rich cultural heritage of Latin America countries celebrating their independence days in August, Uruguay, Ecuador and Bolivia. While we will be covering a significant amount of of material in class, some assignments may need to be completed at home. My goal is to empower students to develop a deep appreciation for the Spanish language and culture, from every day conversations to academic pursuits. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. I am honored to teach this class and look forward to working together to unlock your child’s full potential.

As a PE teacher,I am helping the kids on developing vital mental, emotional and social skills., working on physical activity, creating habits of participation with different activities such as sports, dancing, obstacle courses. Help them improving focus, cognitive functions, mindfulness and body awareness.

Student Photography & Image Protection

At Mountain Oak Community School, your child’s safety and privacy are of the highest importance.

We want to inform our families that we have officially severed ties with Lifetouch Photography and any affiliated companies. Additionally, we are taking formal legal steps, including issuing a demand letter, to require the removal of all student photo media from Lifetouch’s archives.

We are committed to ensuring that student images are handled responsibly and in alignment with our standards for privacy and security.
