SPED Coordinator

Carmen Alvey

I’m a lifelong Arizona native raised in Prescott, with a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Liberty University and a background in behavioral health supporting children and families in Virginia and Arizona. My career has spanned child advocacy, higher education admissions at Prescott College and Grand Canyon University, and most recently, special education. After a brief time as a stay-at-home parent in Utah, I returned to Prescott and joined Mountain Oak School—drawn by its emphasis on art, nature, and whole-child education—where I now serve as Special Education Coordinator, helping families navigate and support their exceptional learners in the private school setting.

Student Photography & Image Protection

At Mountain Oak Community School, your child’s safety and privacy are of the highest importance.

We want to inform our families that we have officially severed ties with Lifetouch Photography and any affiliated companies. Additionally, we are taking formal legal steps, including issuing a demand letter, to require the removal of all student photo media from Lifetouch’s archives.

We are committed to ensuring that student images are handled responsibly and in alignment with our standards for privacy and security.
