The Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) program is Arizona’s school choice initiative that gives families access to 90% of the state’s base per-pupil funding, deposited into a dedicated account for approved educational expenses.

What is the Eligibility Criteria?
Since 2022, any K–12 student residing in Arizona may apply — regardless of prior school type, income, or background.
Students qualifying under special categories (disabilities, military status, etc.) may receive higher funding amounts depending on need.
Required documentation typically includes:
- Proof of Arizona residency
- Birth certificate
- Any other standard identity proofs
